Magic Steel maintains a fully equipped metallurgical lab staffed with one metallurgist and one Quality Technician. An independent metallurgist is also available for consultation when necessary. Magic Steel's technical support personnel are familiar with the capabilities of available products and using our metallurgical lab can:
- Assist customers in material selection and die development
- verify that the ordered product will work in the intended application
- Make certain the product is properly / economically packaged
- Ensure that coil sizes maximize customer equipment limits (ID size, OD size, coil weight, lift weight, etc.)
- Suggest possible alternative materials that could result in either improved performance or reduced cost for a customer.
- Assist customer with material issues when a problem arises
